Crested Butte, Colorado
How To Get Here
Gunnison (GUC) is a 30 minute drive from Crested Butte. American does not fly into Gunnison during the summer, but there are direct flights from Houston on United as well as connecting flights from Dallas!
Montrose (MTJ) is an hour and a half drive from Crested Butte. There are direct flights from Houston and Dallas as well as several connecting flights. This is one of our preferred airports during the summer!
Grand Junction (GJT) is a 2 hour and 45 minute drive from Crested Butte.
Colorado Springs (CO) is a 3 and a half hour drive from Crested Butte. There are several direct flights in and out of this airport.
Denver (DEN) is just under a 4 hour drive from Crested Butte.
Drive: The drive from Texas to Colorado is beautiful in the summer, especially in July! Crested Butte is a 13 hour drive from Dallas and an 17 hour drive from Houston.

Getting To And From The Airport
For all of the airports you will either need to rent a car or set up a transfer with one of the following companies. They each offer group shuttles and private cars. Unfortunately, there are no ride sharing services or taxis anywhere in the valley, so please schedule ahead of your arrival!

This is the only transportation company that will pick up in Montrose!
Getting Around Town
The local Mountain Express shuttle bus provides transportation throughout the town of Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte. Busses run every 20 minutes from 7:35am until midnight. Please note, if you are not staying in town or near bus stop on the mountain, we highly suggest renting a car to get around!
Dolly’s Mountain Shuttle provides dinner shuttles and late night shuttles once the town bus stops. Call 970-209-9757 to book.
If you would like to go on a day excursion and didn’t rent a car, Jeep and ATVs are available to rent for the day in town. Please see the “Things to Do” tab for more details (coming soon)!
Transportation will be provided for guests to the various wedding weekend venues.

Located at the base of the mountain, LMS is the signature property of Mt. Crested Butte. This condo-style hotel has rooms ranging from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom suites.

Located right next to the base of the mountain, The Plaza hosts various 2-3 bedroom condominiums, several of which have been recently updated. This property is a minute walk from the base.

Home Rentals
Home rentals are very popular in Crested Butte and get booked up early! We suggest looking in town or at the base of Mt. Crested Butte so you are closer to the wedding festivities and transportation. Please note, some sites don’t open 2022 availability until January 1st.
